I actually fundamentally disagree with your perspective. The thing is, you shouldn't sacrifice one for the other. In the early days, you do need to do things that don't scale in order to get your first few customers who can then provide invaluable feedback and data that helps you build a more scalable long-term strategy. It's impossible to build a long-term scalable strategy without a modicum of data, and the best data will come from your first customers.

So what you really want, ideally, are founders who are a mix of both: one grinder who can get things off the ground and one team-builder who can take those insights and turn them into a long-term strategy.
