I've been diving real deep into the Terra ecosystem for a while now. I agree that Anchor needs some adjustments to make it sustainable. However, the biggest thing, in my opinion, is that Anchor really seems like a borrowing protocol aimed at investors looking to leverage their assets to increase their market exposure. The interest rates (25% at the time of writing) and collateral requirements make Anchor a poor choice for consumer borrowing, and I believe this will be a fundamental weakness of the platform moving forward. Because at some point, crypto needs to make the transition from investor-oriented to consumer-oriented (and ironically, that will be the most lucrative change for investors), and Terra is generally well-positioned to do that. The question is whether the Terra ecosystem will follow that road.
